Kevin H. Adams
Kevinís work is primarily concerned with the American landscape, both rural and urban. The U.S. State Department has selected a number of Kevinís paintings to hang in embassies around the world, and the Interior Department twice commissioned collections of Kevinís work ó for the 75th Anniversary of Grand Canyon National Park and the 85th Anniversary of Glacier National Park. He also was commissioned to document the Bio Bio River in Chile prior to construction of a major dam that changed its course forever. And, at the invitation of the government of Mikhail Gorbachev, Kevin accompanied a traveling solo exhibition of his work across the Soviet Union. Kevin grew up in Maryland and has studied painting in the U.S. and France. As an Officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, he was recognized for his artistic ability and assigned the title Combat Artist. Kevin also has designed theatrical sets, including for the Washington National Opera.
