Inspiration flows from just about anything. My paintings serve as a journal of travel; of New York City, where I grew up; of the Lower Hudson River Valley where I now live; and of Maine, where I spend a portion of my summer. My work far more conveys the essence or mood of a subject than it does the physical or geographical attributes. I paint light, atmosphere, mood, sound and time. See in them what you like.
After all these years, I continue to be fascinated by the endless possibilities of a blank sheet of paper.
