Drawing and painting since childhood in Belgium, my painting carrier really started in oil while in Morocco where I discovered the beautiful colors of the Mediterranean countries, its blues and ochres. I painted landscapes and few portraits some of which were exhibited at the New York Academy of Medicine in NY in 1973. The "Medina of Rabat, Morocco" painting was photographed and published in the Hospital tribune (3-1973). It was also exhibited at the Lever house in New York City. In New York since 1971, I joined the Art Student League where I did drawing with Eric Alberts (figure) and Georges Canata (portraits) and paint watercolor: figures, landscapes and portraits with Frederick Wong. I won many awards at the annual exhibits of the Art Student League over all these years. I also had a chance to work with Charles Reid, Mel Stabin and Eric Weigardt. Since 2012 painting at the National Academy in New York with Weiqing Yuan, my focus has become painting watercolor flowers.
