Peggy Davidson Post
Peggy Davidson Post grew up in the Bay Area where she earned a BFA at California College of the Arts. After a move to New York in 1980, she continued to study and work as an artist. Peggy concentrates on painting in pastel and oil, but enjoys experimenting with other materials. She is a member of Salmagundi Art Club, Catherine Lorillard Wolf Art Club, The Pastel Society of America, The Pastel Society of Connecticut, Katonah Museum Artists Assn., and Northern Westchester Artists Guild. Her work has been exhibited with all these organizations in various settings: museums, art centers and galleries. She has received awards from Salmagundi Club, Connecticut Pastel Society, Pastel Society of New Hampshire, and Putnam Arts Council.
Peggys work reflects her passion for the natural world. Increasingly, she has been inspired by specific moments. The qualities of light hitting trees and rocks; people interacting with an urban landscape.
