Born in Wisconsin, it was the beauty of the Rockies and great skiing that lured me to Colorado in the late '70's. With art always in the back of my mind, I made a living in biological research, and later as a CPA, specializing in tax. Finally art has taken the fore-front. I paint full time in a wonderful studio in Brighton, CO. My medium is oil, and generally I am a realist. Light and shape are the qualities that draw me to a subject and I true to my background, I find beauty in the details. Memorable summers at our family cottage gave me an affinity for water, my favorite subject. But a look at my website will confirm that I will tackle just about any subject that crosses my path. What draws me day after day to my easel is variety, and the challenge I find in each subject. I have won awards in national and regional shows. I am a Signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists, a member of Oil Painters of America, Women Artists of the West,& the Int'l Guild of Realism.
