Andrei Kushnir’s landscape paintings reflect his love of the outdoors. He paints directly from nature, which inspires him to capture the poetic feeling of a place. Working in oils since 1980, his works have been accepted in national gallery shows juried by curators from the National Gallery of Art, National Museum of American Art, Hirshhorn Museum, and Corcoran Gallery.
He is an official Coast Guard Artist, an elected member of the Salmagundi Club and the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, a signature member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society, and a member of Oil Painters of America. His works are in the collections of the U.S. Coast Guard; Virginia Historical Society; University of Maryland, University College; District of Columbia Commission of Arts and Humanities; South Florida Community College’s Museum of Florida’s Art and Culture; University Club, Washington, D.C., and in private collections around the world.
