Biography:
Even though Takayo Futamura never foresaw painting as a possible future profession, painting has now established itself as a crucial part of Takayo’s life. Painting has become a newfound way for Takayo to engage with the world. Her paintings illustrate and express what she sees in the scenery and how it makes her feel. In her attempt to effectively capture the beauty she perceives, painting unavoidably keeps her attuned to her own senses. Painting has become an integral part of her lifestyle and her character.
