About the Talk

In conversation: Anne Undeland, playwright and actor

Join us for an afternoon in the Gilded Age and a proper cup of tea!

Join playwright and actor Anne Undeland in conversation with Carl Raymond, host of The Gilded Gentleman history podcast to look at some historical and literary lives from a theatrical point of view.  Anne’s works for the stage, have dramatized the lives of beloved writers Edith Wharton and Henry James as well as the famed mother of Winston Churchill, the former Jennie Jerome.  Anne’s most recent play, Mr. Fullerton Between the Sheets was performed by Gloucester Stage Company this past summer and brought insight and revelation to a particularly intimate and little known series of events in Edith Wharton’s life.

There will be an interview and audience Q&A, followed by a reception featuring afternoon tea with sweet and savory treats.
