Using the immersive exhibition of Gustav Klimt: gold in motion as inspiration, let Debbie Wells of Artful Circle give you the scoop on the artist and his bohemian lifestyle, explanations of his stunning portraits and paintings, including Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer, 1907 of Woman in gold fame to the lavishly embellished The kiss, 1907.
Whether you attend the immersive exhibition before, after, or not at all, at the Hall des Lumières at 49 Chambers Street (in the former Emigrant Savings Bank historic site), this lecture will give you an artful background on this iconic artist.
About the Speaker
A graduate of Parsons School of Design, Debbie Wells is an award-winning graphic designer, photographer, muralist and painter. Co-founder/partner of Artful Circle with Franklin Hill Perrell, they offer in-person and virtual programming on the current art scene, art history, art travel, as well as curatorial services for museums and galleries, writing and graphic design service for art collectors and more. Wells is the Past President of the Art League of Long Island and an active Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club in NYC.
