Join us for Coffee House’s First Wednesday Musical Night, celebrating a collective century of playing in New York’s hotels, featuring:

Daryl Sherman is a celebrated pianist, vocalist, and performer touring up and down the East coast, the United Kingdom and beyond. She was hand-picked by Artie Shaw to be his lead vocalist and has played everywhere from Jazz at Lincoln Center, Dizzy’s, The Algonquin and more.

Kathleen Landis reigned as popular pianist and singer at the Café Pierre for over 20 years. A five-star pianist, she melts unique expressive harmonies of jazz and classical. She colors her accompaniments with creative arrangements, and special treats are the Argentine tangos that Landis performs with rhythm and ardor.

Nancy Winston has been playing in NYC’s hotels since the late 60’s. She has appeared at such vintage venues as Harry’s Bar at the Palace Hotel, the Oak and Edwardian Rooms at the Plaza Hotel, the Gotham Hotel (now the Peninsula) and the Cafè de la Paix at the St. Moritz Hotel (now the Ritz Carlton). For twenty years, she held the weekend chair at the Cafè Pierre and most recently, along with Kathleen Landis and Daryl Sherman, she appeared at the Bar Seine in the Plaza Athènèe Hotel. On her CD My Shining Hour, she is joined by Jay Leonhart on bass and Max Weinberg on drums.
