Artist Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso will discuss her art and career as a working artist.

About the Speaker

Gabriela Gonzalez Dellosso is a fine artist, known for her homage self-portraits dedicated to historical women artists and narrative paintings. She is a native New Yorker, of Cuban and Ecuadorian heritage. Her artistic roots can be found on both sides of her family. Her maternal grandmother and great-grandfather were well respected and published poets in South America. Her father studied painting in pre-Castro Cuba.

Her work has been included in important invitationals worldwide, as well as being part of many permanent museum collections. Her museum solo exhibitions include The Butler Institute of American Art, OH; Municipal Museum, Guayaquil, Ecuador; Heckscher Museum of Art, Huntington, NY; and the Polk Museum of Art, Lakeland, FL. She is categorized as a living master by the Art Renewal Center.

Among some of the publications her work has been published in are: American Art Collector, American Artist, The Artist’s Magazine, ARTnews, Fine Art Connoisseur, Naples Daily News, Newsday, The New York Times and the Trenton Times.

She is a Signature Member of The Portrait Society of America. She has painted portraits of Salmagundi Club President, Ed Brennan as well as the first female President of Lafayette Art College, Alison Byerly.

Gabriela is currently President of Allied Artists of America.

She has worked as an instructor of painting and drawing for two decades in NYC. She has also been invited to be on the faculty of the Figurative Art Convention and Realism Live.

Gabriela has an instructional portrait painting video for Liliedahl Video Productions entitled Poetic Portraits.

She is represented by Harmon-Meek Gallery in Naples, Fl.
