About the Event

This beautiful slideshow presentation’s aim is to foster art connoisseurship among collectors, patrons and artists. Rothe will present various ideas and concepts surrounding the world of fine art that can be learned in art school, or in the professional working world of art.

Images in the presentation will include behind the scenes and inside the studios of today’s great realists and impressionists, where you will learn about color and value, edges and more. She will then take you thru topics such as genre and style, noting some vocabulary that can be handy when chatting at an art event.

About the Speaker

In addition to her editorial, curatorial and design work, Vanessa Françoise Rothe is a fine artist exhibiting the last 20 years alongside the Nations top artists in galleries, art clubs, as well as Museums. She is an official Artist Member of the famed Salmagundi Art Club New York, a Signature member of the American Impressionist Society and served as its Educational Director for 4 years.

Influenced by a blend of classical traditional representational art and Impressionist works by masters such as Sargent, Sorolla, Wendt, Payne, Manet, Cassatt, Casas, Repin and Suvorov as well as modern master friends such as Scott Burdick, Susan Lyon, Jeremy Lipking, Michelle Dunaway, and Ray Roberts, she takes the essence of a subject and captures its charm with the use of color, shadows, and light.

Her subjects include the beautiful landscapes of France, Switzerland and Italy, the allure of historic cities such as Paris and Venice, classic California seascapes with a fewe still life’s, as well as new figurative work.
