About this series of lessons

No prior experience required – join a welcoming atmosphere and discover the joy of creating with yarn!

From exploring different yarns and needles to deciphering patterns and mastering various stitches, each class (taking place every Tuesday) will cover essential skills. Participants will receive one-on-one attention to suit their individual needs and will leave each session with a tangible project to take home.

All students need to bring is a pair of #8 straight 10” knitting needles (or any size that you may already have), and Susan will provide skeins of yarn at no extra charge. Whether you are seeking to learn a new skill or looking to enhance your skills, embark on a creative journey with beginner knitting classes at the Salmagundi Club!

About the instructor

The class will be led by instructor Susan Freeman, whose knitting roots trace back to her aunt’s Brooklyn store where she learned the craft at a tender age of 5. Having been involved with knitting groups, classes, and teaching ever since, these 4 weekly classes promise to demystify the art of knitting.

A flat lay of a crocheted piece lies next to the ball of yarn it was knitted from.
A tied piece of yarn creates the shape of a heart next to a knit.
