The Coffee House Club invites Salmagundi members to join Carl Raymond for this unique and wide-ranging look at art inside the Met Museum, created during America’s famous Gilded Age. Carl will be speaking about his guided tour through the American Wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, weaving together a story of the styles, the artists, the architects, the sculptors and the painters that gave the Gilded Age its look. We can’t wait to see you there!
Carl Raymond is the host of The Gilded Gentleman history podcast produced by Bowery Boys Media. Launched in 2021, the show has had more than 1.4 million downloads across all episodes and has listeners in 74 countries. He lectures regularly and has presented talks in both the United States and in Europe for such organizations as the Royal Oak Foundation, Historic Royal Palaces, the Metropolitan Opera Guild, the English-Speaking Union, the Jane Austen Society, Edith Wharton’s home The Mount and the National Arts Club.
