About the Event
Salmagundi’s Art Committee would like to invite SCNY artist members to a day of plein air art creation at Greenwood Gardens in Short Hills NJ. Members need simply email our Art Committee at art@salmagundi.org if interested.
Greenwood Gardens is a century-old site with magical views, Arts & Crafts follies, stately fountains, and ample space in which to feel at home. It is truly a special place, only 20 miles from NYC.
Whatever your preferred mode of creating art, en plein air artists of all skill levels are invited to practice at Greenwood on this day. We welcome use of watercolors, pastels, and pen and ink, as well as photography, sketching, and journaling.
Note
- There are 5 limited spots for oil painting. First-come, first-serve.
- Drop cloths are required for painting.
- Artist easels and tripods are permitted provided they are not placed in the planted beds and pathways are not blocked.
