About the Speakers
Olivia Rutigliano is an editor at Lit Hub and CrimeReads. She is also a contributing editor at Bright Wall/Dark Room. Her other work appears in Vanity Fair, Vulture, Lapham’s Quarterly, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Public Books, The Baffler, Politics/Letters, The Toast, Truly Adventurous, PBS Television, and elsewhere. She has a PhD from the departments of English/comparative literature and theatre at Columbia University, where she was the Marion E. Ponsford fellow.
Jeff Wong is an illustrator, graphic designer, and rare book collector. His cover art for Sports Illustrated’s 50th Anniversary Issue depicting the Sistine Chapel ceiling (with sports figures) was shown at the Society of Illustrators and awarded a Gold & Silver Medal by the Society of Publication Designers. He has been collecting the work of mystery writer Ross Macdonald since 1983 and has one of the most in-depth Ross Macdonald collections in private hands; It’s All One Case: The Illustrated Ross Macdonald Archives, a coffee table book he designed, features over 1,300 items from his collection.
Burt Wolder is president of Frederic Dorr Steele Memorial, Inc., a non-profit organization that promotes public awareness of Steele’s life and work, supports related exhibits and collections, and maintains the marker on the artist’s grave in Menands, New York. He is an editor and co-host of the Sherlock Holmes podcasts I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere and Trifles.
