About the Event

Celebrate the finale of Coffee House Club’s annual August Music Fest. Stephen Kennedy Murphy is back to lead a chronological singalong that draws on the music of the last hundred years. After the program, members are encouraged to continue the conviviality and conversation over dinner downstairs.

About the Musician

Stephen Kennedy Murphy is “a director of opera and theatre with a powerful voice” (New York Times). He has also performed as a singer-pianist in New York, London, Paris, Nice, Monaco and Rome. Murphy has appeared with such cabaret luminaries as Steve Ross, Karen Akers and KT Sullivan. He has directed at Carnegie Hall, On and Off-Broadway and at Lincoln Center at Alice Tully Hall and The Juilliard School. He has also taught at Yale, Columbia and NYU. His writings about theater have been published in The New Yorker.

Coffee House Club’s annual August Music Fest is curated by Nancy Winston. Throughout the month, they’re keeping it cool with refreshing musical entertainment from a fantastic range of performers.
