Biography:
James Daniel is a North Carolina based artist who is known for his versatility and skill. He works in a variety of media including oil, pen & ink, charcoal, pencil, conte, and fresco. James’ work is an fresh entrance into how traditional realism fits into the modern world.
James’ education was not a straight ladder. It involves many countries, hard work, and numerous teachers. His journey began in art schools around the US and expanded to apprenticeships with master artists in Italy and France. His most significant experiences were with master artists Ben Long and the late Romano Stefanelli (both long time students of legendary Pietro Annigoni). James spent 7 years working daily with Long on frescoes, studio works, and living life under the umbrella of a master/student relationship.
