Biography:

Kathleen Varga spent her childhood years growing up in Edison, New Jersey and began her artistic journey as a floral designer and visual merchandiser.

As a self-taught artist she then expanded her mediums for artistic expression. In 2008 she joined an atelier near Princeton, New Jersey to focus on graphite and oil painting. Her work is inspired by showing everyday people and objects from an angle that invites the observer to see the beauty in the authentic details of her realism style.

Her paintings have been exhibited in several art shows in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York and have won numerous awards including a recent award for outstanding work from the Salmagundi Art Club in New York City.

She is a member of the Salmagundi Art Club in New York City.

Her paintings can also be viewed at Gallery Piquel in New Hope, Pennsylvania and Gallery Piquel in Lambertville, New Jersey.
