– Deaccessioned ca.1970s based on a story told by Alexander W Katlan, 2021.  The club approach Thomas Davies, a well known collector and art historian and asks if he might give them money.  He offered instead to purchase two paintings from the club including this one.  The club sold the works to help with their financial situation.
