About the Event

Join Coffee House Club for a First Wednesday Musical Event featuring musical performances from Roger Schore, Nancy Winston, Hal Glatzer, and Kathy Frankovic. After the program, the conversation and conviviality will continue over dinner downstairs.

About the Performers

Roger Schore, a bald man with gray hair and a light green blazer, smiles in a group photo.Roger Schore, educator and lyricist, has written lyrics for composers from Bill Evans to Billy Stayhorn, and his music has been widely recorded by artists such as Ronny Whyte, Eric Comstock, Gabrielle Stravelli, Daryl Sherman, Nancy Marano, and Nancy Winston.

She’s appeared at such vintage venues as Harry’s Bar at the Palace Hotel, the Oak and Edwardian Rooms at the Plaza Hotel, the Gotham Hotel (now the Peninsula) and the Cafè de la Paix at the St. Moritz Hotel (now the Ritz Carlton). For twenty years she held the weekend chair at the Cafè Pierre.

Kathy Frankovic has chin-length, white hair and a beaded necklace with a black shirt.For 32 years, Kathy Frankovic was in charge of public opinion research at CBS News. She lives in New York City (returning after 15 years on the Big Island of Hawaii). On the Big Island, she performed as an actor and singer in the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, as she had in college and graduate school. She also had roles in shows like Mary Poppins, The Sound of Music, and (her personal favorite) Nunsense.
