Biography:

Susan Richman worked as a commercial photographer in NYC before evolving into an artist and educator. Her award winning, nationally exhibited photographs have appeared in numerous magazines, publications, and exhibitions.

She is best known for her use of light, color, and shapes to create abstractions that blur the lines between painting and photography. Richman’s distinct photographs include landscapes, nudes, and sculptural objects that she constructs. She is presently a teacher at The International Center for Photography in NYC and is a member of the Upstream Gallery in Hastings on Hudson, NY.

Her work this year has won awards from New York Center For Photographic Art, the Soho Photo Gallery, and Create Magazine to name a few. In 2019 her work was featured in The New York Times and The Washington Post in an article authored by Kim Cook titled Elements Provide Inspiration at Architectural Digest Show.
