The American Artists Professional League’s 94th annual grand national exhibition will be on display from November 7 through November 18 in the Skylight Gallery of the Salmagundi Club. The AAPL honors the finest in representational and traditional realism art in America.
This annual juried show is a perennial favorite; it offers museum-quality work from some of the finest artists working in their field.
Most works of art will be for sale. There will be approximately 140 juried entries on display. Collectors and art enthusiasts will be able to view multiple genres, including landscape, still life and floral, figurative and portrait, and sculpture in various materials.
The awards judge is Marilyn Symmes, a seasoned museum professional, and art historian. She has general knowledge of art in all media since the Renaissance. Currently an independent curator, Marilyn has worked with major museums, including the Detroit Institute of Art, Smithsonian Design Museum/Cooper-Hewitt, the Brooklyn Historical Society, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
