The American Tonalist Society is an organization that promotes the art movement called Tonalism and tonalist artworks by our signature artists. Our mission is to recognize, promote and showcase the current tonalist movement, and to continue the tradition of the American Tonalists of the 1800s through exhibitions and catalogues.
The American Tonalist Society’s upcoming biennial show, Shades of Gray II will open at the prestigious Salmagundi Club of New York. The show will run from Friday, April 28 through Saturday, May 6 and feature sixty-seven paintings from the finest Tonalist Painters working today. A catalogue featuring every work in the show will be available for purchase.
