Experience Tales of Color in Salmagundi’s Thomas Moran Gallery, a solo exhibition featuring Takuma Tanaka’s small paintings and works on paper. Curated by Rachel Vancelette, this exhibition marks the beginning of Tanaka’s art activations in New York City during the Armory Show week. Tanaka’s artworks seamlessly blend his Japanese heritage and influences from his time in America, capturing the topic of contemporary human existence and the dream-like fantasy of our world today. This exhibition is part of the globally launched upcoming VGAA curated pop-up series, showcasing the creativity of international artists.
The reception promises a celebration of cultural exchange and will include a unique tasting experience with specialty baked cookies by Flip-Flops Marquis. Investigating both historical and contemporary concepts with the creatives working today, the evening will also introduce a ART X FASHION pop up for one night only by artists/designers Mark Enger, Michael Angelo, Kora Mancini and a unique sculpture by international Spanish artist Matias Di Carlo.
