Salmagundi’s Committee for the Coast Guard Art Program (COGAP), is organizing a VIP tour of the USS New York during fleet week. Our small group will meet at 2:00 PM for a 2:30 PM tour. The USS New York is a San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock, named in 2002 in honor of the victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks. This is a unique opportunity to see the inner workings of an active naval ship and interact with the sailors who run it.
