About the Event
As the Salmagundi Club pauses operations for the month of August, we’re delighted to offer members a unique opportunity to explore one of New York’s cultural treasures through a new collaboration with the Society of Illustrators.
Founded in 1901, the Society is the oldest nonprofit organization in the country dedicated to the art of illustration. Its historic townhouse on the Upper East Side features rotating exhibitions, a renowned permanent collection, and the charming Illustrators’ Salon bar and dining room.
This private, guided tour, led by expert Society staff, will offer Salmagundi members an inside look at the history, artistry, and vibrant legacy of American illustration. It’s a perfect summer outing to connect with fellow members and experience a kindred creative institution.
Space is limited, so please RSVP to reserve your spot.
We look forward to seeing you there!
