Welcome to 2026 and a new year of photographic exploration! Our next session will be a visit to the famous Gleason’s gym in Dumbo, Brooklyn. It has been home to over 100 world champions including Muhammed Ali, Mike Tyson, Jake LaMotta and many more practitioners of the sweet science. It is the oldest boxing gym in the country and now has a mix of professional, amateur and businesspeople who are trying their skills at the sport. It is not your usual gym and has been the site and used for training in movies including Million Dollar Baby and Raging Bull.

Meet up with us and see what is happening during the evening. It would be common for people to be sparring, hitting the heavy bags, or otherwise working out. Please do not use flash when fighters are sparring and ask if someone minds if you take their photo.
