About the Event
St David’s Society is the senior Welsh heritage society of New York State.
St. David’s Society would like to extend an invitation to Salmagundi members to join their annual celebration of Wales’ National Day to share a little of their heritage as a Society and an awareness of the cultural differences which Welsh people bring to the unique American experience.
Held in the cozy confines of the Salmagundi dining room, the society would like to share a little of their Welsh heritage, featuring music by a current scholarship winner, Gwern Williams (graduate vocalist at NYU). There will be a small exhibit for viewing, displaying valuable pieces from the Society’s treasury and archives: offering a glimpse into who they are, where they come from, and what they do. as a Society and an awareness of the cultural differences which Welsh people bring to the unique American experience.
To follow, we will be serving in the Salmagundi restaurant Welsh fare, prepared by Chef Melvin. Reservations for dinner will be billed to member accounts.
To RSVP, please call their offices at 212-206-1960 with your name, number of places, and member account. You can also email them at gartmorg@aol.com
