About the Film
Just in time for Valentine’s Day: watch the ever glorious ever young never old Umbrellas of Cherbourg, a romance as only the French knew how to make them. Witness Jacques Demy’s glorious 1964 triumph with Catherine Deneuve and Nino Castlelnuovo singing their hearts out. Wager a guess about who is singing the English version of Michel Legrande’s “If it takes forever I will wait for you”! If you have never seen this film before, this is an occasion not to be missed. Tissues will be provided at no extra cost.
Come early to gather in the lower level of the Club and grab a beverage at the legendary Wiggins Bar. Screenings will begin promptly afterwards in the Rockwell gallery.

After the film, we’ll move into the Club dining room for a delicious dinner and lively discussion. Ticketed attendees who would love to join us may make a reservation via our Reservations page and include the message “Film Series dinner”. On the day of the screening, those wishing to dine must place their orders prior to the start of the film.
