Biography:

Cathy Ferrell’s work is exhibited and collected internationally, and found in public, private, museum and corporate collections here and abroad…
Catherine Ferrell’s sculpture is found in museums and collections, both nationally and internationally. Her first museum show was in Montreal, 1985 and her first solo New York show was at the Pen and Brush, Inc, 2002. Her work is collected internationally in collections in Italy, France, Norway, West Germany and the Bahamas. It ranges in scale from smaller indoor pieces to outdoor pieces as large as 8’x6’x10’. Museum and corporate collections include Bennex International, Norway, Norton Museum of Art, Cornell Museum of Art, United World College, Brevard Art Museum, and Brookgreen Sculpture Garden.

The sculpture has been part of the 13th, 14th, and 15th American Society of Marine Artists national exhibitions and she is a signature member of that organization. Solo shows include her first solo New York show, Pen and Brush, Inc., NY, 2002;

The Cornell Museum of Art 2010-2011, Gallery 14, Vero Beach, Fl, 2009; Cheryl Newby Gallery, Pawley’s Island, SC, 2003, the Master’s Gallery, 2007,
She is a member of The Salmagundi Club, Allied Artists of America, American Women Artists, American Society of Marine Artists, Audubon Artists, COGAP, Society of Animal Artists, Fellow in the American Artist’s Professional League, Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, and an associate, National Sculpture Society.

Charles Rascob Robinson featured Cathy’s work in ‘Notes from Brush Hill” ASMA Journal, Summer 2011, and it s the focus of “The Art of Joy”, the catalog from Cornell, 2010-11.
