Biography:
Christine was raised in San Jose, California. She attended the University of Arizona in Tucson. That is where she took her first and only art class during college. She moved back to San Jose, married her college sweetheart, and went to work running the family business, a wholesale OTC pharmaceutical company. After having two daughters, they took a transfer to Charlotte, North Carolina, and they packed it all up and moved across the country. She stayed there for a couple of years, and had the opportunity to explore some picturesque places along the Eastern Seaboard including Charleston, SC where she fell in love with the art galleries there. She also went to work for US Air and spent the next few year traveling as much as possible with her family. Three years later her family moved back to California and her 3rd daughter was born.
In 2007 it was back to the East Coast for a job opportunity in Bucks County. In 2009 with her two oldest daughters in high school, and the youngest starting kindergarten, she started studying alla prima oil painting in the style of the Dutch Masters with Frank Arcuri. She spent three years dedicated to this style and loved every minute of it. She continues to study with teachers whose style she admires, in an attempt to learn how to perfect her craft. She has expanded her painting skills to include plein air, and spends much time painting local landscapes. In 2014 she signed a 1 year lease and opened a gallery in Lambertville, New Jersey and brought in artwork from 4 of her favorite artists to represent, as well as her own. It was a great experience, but left very little time to paint, or attend to things outside the gallery. She left the gallery business as an owner and continues to paint full time for galleries who represent her work.
In 2016 Stone House Revival, a show on HGTV, approached her and asked to put her landscape paintings of farms around Bucks County on several of their episodes. Contracts were signed, and her artwork is to be featured on 7 episodes airing in 2017. In 2016 Christine was thrilled to be juried into the Salmagundi Club in New York City. She is also a member of the International Guild of Realism.
