Biography:
Costanza Baiocco PhD, JD descends from generations of Italian painters and sculptors. Art studies began in her formative years during which she apprenticed in the atelier of her grandfather and uncle who were under contract to design and paint sets for the Ziegfeld Follies. Her art education was a lifetime process concurrently with her practice of public interest law and teaching.
Among her teachers were Graham Nickson, Phillip Guston, Bob Kulicke and Asian masters of sumi-e painting. She studied at the National Academy of Art, the Art Student’s League, the New York Studio School, the Cape Cod School of ImpressionistArt and sumi-e painting in Japan. The artist exhibited at the United N’ations, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Conservatory, Office of the Consulate General of Japan, the City College of NY, the Godwin-Ternbach Museum, the China Institute, the Hammond Museum, Silvermine Art Center, (CT), the Open Center (NY), Maison Francaise (NYU), Strathmore Hall (MD),Tenri Gallery (NY), Broome Street Gallery, Evergreen Gallery (CT) and Pusan, Korea.
