Biography:

Ethan (Yifan) Qiu is a portrait and figurative painter born and raised in Fuzhou, China, but based in Atlanta, Georgia. His work centers on combining cultural ideologies from the East and the West and using the human condition to convey these messages through his perspective. Qiu’s subjects shift among people with both Eastern and Western features, using cultural themes from both sides to create an equilibrium between content and context. His primary medium is oil on canvas.
