Biography:
Joy Wolf is a contemporary painter and photographer. She began her award winning career in photojournalism at the Associated Press. Subsequently, she worked for various American newspapers, magazines and the popular “Day in the Life” book series. She is the recipient of numerous honors including two Pulitzer Prize nominations.
Her photographic archive is in Stanford University’s Special Collections, and will be available to view online and in person, sometime in late 2025 through Stanford Libraries.
Wolf’s work has been shown in museums and galleries worldwide, and is also in the permanent collection at the Center for Creative Photography.
Her work has been shown at the Gramercy Art Show, the Salmagundi Club, the Art Students League of New York, the Laguna Art Museum, the Denver Art Museum and the Arkin Museum of Contemporary Art, to name a few.
She studied at The Art Institute of Chicago, received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from The University of Arizona and continues to study at The Art Students League of New York.
