Biography:

Junyi Liu is a New York City based visual artist. She was born in Guangdong, China in 1995. Painting has been her passion since a young age. She came to the U.S. for art education first at University of Illinois at Springfield, and then received her BFA in painting at Maryland Institute College of Art.

Junyi’s works were published by Artists Magazine, Southwest Art Magazine, PoetsArtists, Untitled Magazine, Salann Magazine and Scene & Heard Journal. Her works have been exhibited in Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art (WI), Attleboro Arts Museum (MA), Manifest Gallery (OH), Abend Gallery (CO), Salmagundi Club (NY), Untitled Space, Dacia Gallery, Viridian Artists Inc., Site: Brooklyn, Cartavetra Gallery (Italy), Palazzo dei Cartelloni Gallery, Peabody Institute (MD), Maryland Art Place, etc. Junyi is a grantee of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant. She is also a member of Oil Painters of America, Salmagundi Club, and Portrait Society of America.
