Biography:

Marco Giovanni Vera was born in New York City in 1991. As an artist, Vera never received formal training, but manifested artistic talent from a very young age. Having initially demonstrated mastery in pencil drawing, Vera, at 16 years of age, first began painting landscapes in acrylics. By the age of 20, he went on to paint in oils, and, after having been formally introduced to 19th century American landscape painting by his college professor Kevin Avery, he began to develop a strong interest in following the footsteps of the great American landscape painters of the past. It is for this reason that he began traveling all throughout New England — sketching and painting landscapes in the spirit of the Hudson River School, where, to this day, he continues to do so with a passion.
