Marion E. Andrews 1915-2011 WILLIAMSTOWN Marion E. Murphy Andrews 96, of 118 Church St. Proprietors Field, Williamstown, died Monday August 1, 2011 at her home. She was born in North Adams on July 3, 1915 a daughter of Arthur A. Murphy Sr. and Nettie L. Daniels Murphy. She graduated from Cohoes High School in Cohoes, N.Y., with the class of 1934. She was employed at the Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams for 29 years. In 1965 she moved to King of Prussia in Pa., where she worked at the Wanamakers Department Store for 15 years. In 1988 she moved to Zephyr Hills Fla., where she was a charter member of the American Baptist Church in Lakeland, Fla. She moved back to the Berkshires in 2000. She was a longtime member of the North Adams Baptist Church where she active in many of the churches activities with her late husband. She also volunteered at North Adams Regional Hospital. She loved playing cards, bingo and making afghans. She was known to send cards and visit “shut-ins”. She was an avid sports fan. Her husband Rev. William “Burt” Andrews Jr. whom she married January 1, 1938 in North Adams died July 2, 2007. Survivors include: one daughter: Beverly Little of Williamstown. Three Grandchildren: Barbara Little of Clarksburg, John Little of North Adams and David Little and his wife Colleen of New Ashford,Ma. Nine Grandchildren: Collin Woods, Nolan Woods, Hannah Rose Woods, Connor Little, Abigail Little, Alexa Little, Emily Little, Amelia Little and Willie Jacobs. One Sister and One Brother are predeceased: Evelyn Wetzel and Arthur Murphy Jr.
