Miriam Baranov is an Ohio-based artist with a passion for representational portraiture. Having ventured from the world of mathematics and data-driven fields, she’s wholeheartedly embraced her role as a full-time artist.

Currently making Ohio her creative hub, she’s immersed in teaching and creating portraits and murals, all steeped in the timeless traditions of classical realism. Her art revolves around capturing the true essence of my subjects, weaving in compelling narratives, and addressing the pulse of contemporary issues.

Her artistic style is shaped by a mix of self-taught skills and classical training from an atelier, where she had the privilege of learning from talented painters like Andrew Ameral. Her art resides in private collections worldwide, including Spain, Canada, Russia, and California. Published nationally and internationally, her achievements include being a 16th International ARC Salon Semi-finalist in the Imaginative Realism Category, a Finalist in the Modportrait 2022 international portrait competition, and inclusion in the Manifest – 15th International Drawing Annual Publication.
