I’m part of the third generation of a family of professional artists and have learned most of what I know from my father, portrait and marine painter Peter Egeli. He studied at the Art Students League, the Corcoran School of Art and the Maryland Institute of Art (under Jacques Maroger among others). His father was prominent portrait painter Bjorn Egeli, who came from Norway as a young man and studied at the Corcoran . I attended the American Academy of Art in Chicago and have learned much in the years since from other family members and mentors. I teach painting through occasional workshops and presentations at conferences.
