Sam Sussman is a writer who has lived in Berlin, Jerusalem, and New York. He has won the BAFTA New Writing Award, the Oxford Review of Books Short Fiction Prize, and been featured at the PEN World Voices Literary Festival. Sam has published in Harper’s, The Forward, Dissent, Haaretz, and the Tel Aviv Review of Books, where he is a Contributing Editor. He has taught fiction seminars via Oxford Summer Courses in India, South America, and Europe. Sam holds a B.A. in philosophy and literature with highest honors from Swarthmore College (2013), and an M.Phil in politics from Oxford (2017), where he studied as a Clarendon Scholar. Sam is also the founder of Extend, an NGO that highlights human rights voices from Israel and Palestine. He has been a Fellow at LABA: A Laboratory for Jewish Culture at the 14th Street Y, the Aydelotte Foundation, and the American Middle East Network for Dialogue at Stanford.
