Biography:
Shawn Sullivan (b.1957) Sacramento, California, is an artist from Long Island, New York. His paintings have been exhibited at galleries throughout the United States and featured at the Arnot Art museum and the John F. Peto Museum. Shawn has taken the age old tradition of still life painting and updated it with a modern twist. He depicts birds, stuffed animals, and children’s toys, painted in eye catching colors, with an added sense of humor. He arranges objects in his studio to fit his drawings and then paints them in his own unique imaginative realist style. His current and future projects include several gallery exhibitions of his miniature series, preparing work for a major museum exhibition, and putting together a new body of work for a solo exhibition.
