About the Event
The number of pre- and post-Revolutionary structures surviving in The City That’s Never Finished keeps growing. From a grand country mansion, to a farmhouse, taverns, townhouses, churches, and the earliest park in New York City, discover remnants of early New-York from one tip of Manhattan to the other.
Enjoy a virtual tour from the comfort of the Salmagundi Club to these landmarks – some of national importance, some unknown, scattered all over Manhattan Island.
About the Speaker
Anthony Bellov is an award-winning videographer, musician, author, and architectural historian. Recently deemed a “Domestic Archaeologist,” his presentations on local architecture are always highly anticipated. Past in-depth talks include explorations of the Salmagundi Clubhouse, Lower Fifth Avenue, the Old Bloomingdale Road and neighborhood, and many other entertaining topics. Many past presentations are viewable on YouTube.
Anthony holds a bachelor’s in Architecture from Pratt Institute and a master’s in Museum Leadership from Bank Street College of Education. He volunteers as chair of Salmagundi’s Program Committee and also sits on the board of the New York Chapter of the American Research Center in Egypt (ARCE).
