Yet More Beauty in Greenwich Village’s Most Stunning Parlor

The Salmagundi Club, located at 47 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, is proud to present the 12th Annual Sylvia Maria Glesmann Members’ Floral Exhibition, a juried selection of works on view now through October 1, 2021 (M-F 1-6pm and Sat/Sun: 1-5pm). Nearly 30 original floral-themed works are on display in the Club’s spectacular Parlor.

Art lovers can enjoy artistic renderings of roses, pansies, sunflowers, orchids, calla lilies and more in this beautiful exhibition. The exhibition includes works in oil, gouache, colored pencil, crayon, and photography. Salmagundi artist members were invited to submit artworks that portrayed flowers as the focus in any setting.

Salmagundi artist member Sylvia Maria Glesmann provided Salmagundi Club with its first sizeable grant for renovation of the historic Fifth Avenue brownstone, and she continues to support the annual floral show. Guest juror Kate Whipple, a renowned artist, will award prizes to the winning artists of the exhibition. The top award prize is $600, and most of the artwork is available for purchase.
