Biography:

I am a plein air landscape painter who lives and works on the eastern end of Long Island. I explore the remaining natural vistas and farmland of the east coast , where the coastal light inspires my work. I believe the direct observation of this landscape increases the ability for my paintings to have feeling and a sense of place. The eastern end of Long Island has inspired me since I started painting on site with my mother during my childhood. After a full career as a product developer, textile designer in the fashion industry, and a public school art teacher, I have returned to my first passion , capturing the East End landscape.

Since 2005, I have been a member of Plein Air Peconic, a group of artists whose work highlights the Peconic Land Trust’s preserves and other coastal landscapes. As a member of Plein Air Peconic, I participate in art exhibitions and organize shows which raise funds that bring attention to the work of Peconic Land Trust. I show my work mainly in East Coast venues. My work is in the collection of the Sebonic Golf Club, South Fork Country Club as well as many private collections.
