Salmagundi Club is home to the oldest continuous art auction in New York, held each spring and fall since the late 1870’s. In the past, the historic auctions, along with pledges from patron members, brought in enough money to purchase the beautiful building that the Salmagundi Club calls home today. The auctions are and always have been an integral part of the club as a fundraising effort.
The live auction will be held in Salmagundi’s skylight gallery. Those who cannot be there in-person will have the option of registering their bids via the online LiveAuctioneers platform.
A preview of the auction works will be available to see in the Club building for the duration of the month until the auction. Over 100 original works by current members will be showcased and available for public sale. There will be two featured works (one in each auction) from the Curator’s collection by the late Antonio Cirino.

There are two ways to bid:
- Live in Salmagundi’s skylight gallery on Thursday, Oct 10 and Thursday, Oct 24 (separate RSVPs required)

A 15 percent buyer’s premium will be applied to all purchases.

Pre-Auction Buffet
Worried that you might get hungry during a busy night of bidding? Treat yourself to a meal beforehand!
We will be holding a buffet prior to the auction. Prepared by the club’s Chef Melvin, this buffet will be one to satisfy all tastes.
The buffet is $45 per person.
