Biography:

Alexia Papavasilakis is a New York based draftswoman and illustrator. She received her BFA in illustration from Parsons School of Design in 2021 and her MFA in drawing from the New York Academy of Art in 2023. She is endlessly fascinated by anything drawing and loves working in ink and graphite. A large part of her practice residing in comics and graphic novels, storytelling is at the forefront of her work. From her residency with West Nottingham Academy, to her achievement as a finalist in Manifest Gallery’s 20th exhibition, to her appearances at Brooklyn Comic Con, Alexia’s work has been recognized and celebrated by a variety of spaces in the artworld.
