Biography:

Anna Toberman is an American artist who works in oils, charcoal, pastel, conte and mixed media in a traditional representational style, focusing on portraits and figurative subjects. 

Her background includes a long career as a graphic designer and art director for large 
corporations. She is president of Redrock Design, a communications design company in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Anna’s fine art education began at the University of Missouri-Columbia (where she earned both a BFA as well as a Bachelor of Journalism degree) and continued at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Harper College, the Palette and Chisel Academy and through private classes, workshops and mentorships with master artists. 

Her work has won awards and recognition from the Portrait Society of America; the 
Richeson75 International Small Works Exhibition; Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art; American Artists Professional League; National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society; the Salmagundi Club;
FASO BoldBrush Competition; and the Art Renewal Center Salon. Her drawings have been published in two Artist’s Magazine Strokes of Genius books. She is a Signature Member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society.
