Biography:

Denise Dumont is a painter drawn to the landscapes and cityscapes of the Atlantic Coast. She studied at the School of Visual Arts and earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design.

Raised in New York, she paints along the shores from Montauk Point to the Chesapeake Bay and travels further afield. Her influences are rooted in the art of the 19th and 20th centuries, from the American Impressionist colonies of Cos Cob and eastern Long Island to the French Nabis Post-Impressionists.

Denise exhibits regularly and has won awards from the Biggs Museum of American Art in Delaware and juried competitions. Her work is in the permanent collection of plein-air landscapes at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland.
