Biography:

Jessica Lam is a London-based representational oil painter specialising in portraiture and still life. Largely self-taught, she has developed her practice through independent study, mentorship, and workshops at the Florence Academy of Art and Grand Central Atelier.

Her work is grounded in the traditions of classical realism, with particular attention to light, colour, and the expressive qualities of her subjects. She seeks to balance careful observation with painterly spontaneity, capturing not only the appearance of her subjects but also their individuality and presence.

Her paintings have been selected for juried exhibitions at the Salmagundi Club in New York, the American Artists Professional League, and the Asian American Artist Society. She is a juried artist member of the Salmagundi Club and a member of the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, part of the Federation of British Artists.
